Weekending in Accra
About
Inspired by my childhood experience of visiting Accra occasionally as a child/young adult who lived in a different region, this 2-day experience presents the opportunity for my guests explore Accra in a uniquely thoughtful way. It starts on Saturday, with breakfast/brunch with me at home featuring some classic Ghanaian breakfast options, then a stop at the Jubilee Park for pictures. Afterwards we will proceed to discover some locations 1. a visit to the Accra Arts Center, Accra to discover various forms of artistry (e.g. African prints fabric & clothing, bags, sculptures, drums, etc) 2. tour of Accra’s famous Oxford Street 3. The day ends with a more urban scene where dinner/drinks + reflection session at a restaurant/place (guests will have the opportunity of choosing from a list of carefully selected locations) on Sunday: We start with lunch featuring some Ghanaian cuisine from one of a few selected spots. Then we proceed to explore some of the beaches in Accra!
