GuideX Terms & Conditions

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and use the GuideX platform. By registering, you confirm that all information you provide is true, accurate, and current.

3. Account Registration

• Users must create an account to access certain features.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account.
• GuideX reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts found to be in violation of these terms or engaged in fraudulent activity.

4. Bookings and Payments

• All bookings are made directly through the GuideX platform.
• Payments are securely processed by our third-party provider, Paystack.
• GuideX does not collect, store, or have access to any card or payment details.
• A booking is confirmed once payment is processed and accepted by the local host.
• In case of disputes, GuideX may assist in mediation but is not liable for refunds beyond those covered under our Cancellation Policy.

5. Local Host Verification and Safety

At GuideX, trust and safety are core to our community. All local hosts undergo an identity verification process, which includes ID checks and vetting before being approved to list experiences.

Hosts must ensure their experiences are safe, lawful, and respectful of cultural and environmental standards.

GuideX reserves the right to suspend or remove any host or listing that fails to meet these standards.

6. Responsibilities of Local Hosts

• Local hosts must ensure that all experience listings are accurate, lawful, and delivered as described.
• Hosts are responsible for obtaining any necessary permits, insurance, or licenses required for their activity.
• Hosts are paid within 72 hours after completion of the experience, provided no dispute has been raised.
• Hosts must maintain professionalism and respect when engaging with travelers.

7. Responsibilities of Travelers/Explorers

• Travelers must provide accurate information and comply with all safety instructions shared by local hosts.
• Participation in experiences is voluntary and at the traveler’s own risk.
• Travelers agree to act respectfully towards hosts, other participants, and local communities.

8. Cancellations and Refunds

Cancellations and refunds are governed by our Cancellation Policy, available on the GuideX platform. Where applicable, refunds are processed via Paystack in accordance with that policy.

9. Platform Conduct

All users agree not to:

• Engage in discriminatory, unsafe, or inappropriate behaviour.
• Use the platform for any unlawful or unauthorized purpose.
• Post false, misleading, or harmful content.

GuideX reserves the right to take appropriate action, including suspension or removal from the platform, in cases of misconduct.

10. Liability Disclaimer

GuideX acts only as an intermediary connecting travelers and local hosts. We do not own, operate, or manage any experience listed on the platform.

While we conduct ID checks and verification of local hosts, GuideX is not liable for personal injury, loss, or damages during an experience, or the actions, omissions, or behaviour of any traveler or local host. Participation in any experience is at your own discretion and risk.

11. Intellectual Property

All content, design, logos, and materials on the GuideX platform are the property of GuideX or its licensors. They may not be used, copied, or distributed without written permission.

12. Privacy and Data Protection

Your privacy is important to us. GuideX collects only the information necessary to operate our services. All payments are handled through Paystack, and GuideX does not store or process any payment details. For more information, please review our Privacy Policy.

13. Modifications

GuideX reserves the right to update or amend these Terms & Conditions at any time. Changes take effect immediately upon publication. Continued use of the platform after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Ghana, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
